Violet Rae Webster, Vickie Riffe Ellis and Roberta Schultz have been doing 'homework assignments' together for almost 25 years now, and in the process they have learned a great deal about American song. From their earliest projects which included learning Shaker, pioneer, and WWII music for the Cincinnati Museum Center to their more recent forays into cowboy music, Civil War tunes, and early 1900s, they enjoy looking back for the rich tapestry music weaves behind American story.
