More Info:
Formed in 1985, Swing Out Sister the band consisted of Corinne Drewery (Vocals), Andy Connell (Keyboards) and Martin Jackson (Drums). The band found almost immediate success with the single 'Breakout' and throughout the 80s the band released numerous albums and toured regularly building a large and devoted fan base. Following on from Cherry Pop's 'Blue Mood, Breakout & Beyond' CD set, 'Certan Shades Of Limelight' contains the early Swing Out Sister albums from 1994 - 2004 in all of their original glory. Starting with 1994's 'The Living Return', the set also contains 'Shapes And Patterns', 'Filth And Dreams', 'Somewhere in the Night' and 'Where Our Love Grows'. Some of these albums have been out of print for years, so here in one box are newly mastered versions. Discs 6-8 contain B-Sides, 7" mixes, remixes and rare versions from that era. Compiled in conjunction with Corinne Drewery and Andy Connell. Sleeve notes by Classic Pop's John Earl who has spoken to band members current and past. Housed in a sturdy box with 8CDs and booklet containing a full track annotation and rare memorabilia with illustrations by Corinne Drewery. The band are planning further shows, are currently recording a big band album and hope you enjoy this box set!
