The Carnies are an ecstatic art rock band from New York, expanding the storytelling realm with eccentric and hauntingly alluring music. Lavish vocals recount the curious mind mapping storylines, while the visceral guitar/keys and resonant bass merge with the driving and rhythmic pulse of the drums. With such disparate influences as Kate Bush, Captain BeefHeart, The Pixies, and The Replacements, The Carnies draw from an ecclectic collection. The Carnies have played at venues such as The Knitting Factory, CBGB's, The Sidewalk Cafe, and Kenny's Castaways. Their albums include Endless Stripping (2003), The Carnies Live (2005), Hardcore Nursery Rhyme Renditions (2006), and are currently working on their third album Weather the Spell.
