Raucous country rockers The Shovels, have been entertaining downtown Toronto bars and rural beer joints for five years plus. Combining classic country, rockabilly and old-school punk into their original music and rowdy sound, The Shovels arrive to put on a show. Personnel include Todd Gallant (vocals, lead guitar) who has played in several local bands and toured worldwide with R&B legend Andre Williams. Julie Toboggan (vocals, acoustic guitar) has worked extensively through the Nashville and New York circuits. Sean Dignan (drums) has spent the last several years working and touring with Amy Milan, Suckerpunch and Dodge Fiasco, among others. Jake Summers (bass) and Larry Thomas (pedal steel) have well-rounded experience both in the studio and on the road. "The Devil's Music", recorded at Green Door Studios, is a collection of 10 new original songs and two covers, and is a follow-up to their debut album "Driving Wheel".
